There is something to say about consistency. I want to commend all of the students and staff for jumping right back into the routine. It felt like we never missed a beat. Quality instruction was evident as soon as the bell rang on Monday morning. We will see if we can continue the consistency of having a five-day school week or if more flexibility is necessary this week! As you peruse this newsletter, you will notice that we attached the newsletter from the new ClarksburgDamascus Middle School #2. The students of Clarksburg Elementary School will not be attending the new school. We will remain in the Rocky Hill Middle School feeder pattern for the foreseeable future. We included the new school’s newsletter because they are temporarily being housed in our historic schoolhouse. Please see the additional information below to learn about more of the exciting things that we are doing and the Montgomery County Public School system is offering. To highlight students’ achievement in this area, each week, two students from every class will be awarded The Golden PEM Award. Teachers will choose the Golden PEM Award winners based on the students’ consistent performance throughout the week related to their persistence, effort, and motivation in the classroom setting. Recipients of the award will take home a Golden PEM Certificate as well as have their names listed in the Principal’s Weekly Parent Bulletin.
