Fire Wardens - from November 2014
The duties of a fire warden are:
 To check areas in buildings to ensure that no-one remains in the building;
 To act as a source of information to advise others responding to the emergency about:
o Possible causes of the fire alarm actuations;
o areas where people have failed to evacuate the building;
o possible presence of disabled or mobility-impaired persons requiring assistance.
 Fire Wardens will not go further into a building (e.g. upstairs) to carry out their duties in the event
of an alarm actuation; this presents an unnecessary risk to wardens.
