Goals:
 Culminating Project: Students will present a TEDxYouth@CBES talk sharing
their ideas and research.
 Participants: Grades 4-6
 Goals for each TED talk:
o 5-10 min per talk
o Research driven
o Share passion and creativity for a topic related to guidance
 *Guidance domains for student TEDxYouth@CBES Talk: Value Myself and
Others.
o Personal/Social
o Academic
o Career
Timeline:
o September/October – Introduction to TEDxYouth@CBES in classes
through Mrs. Witcher
o End of October/November – Individual meetings between students
who turn in the idea application and faculty sponsors (Witcher, Saia,
and/or Corgill)
 Develop idea research plan and timeline
 Set personal goals for idea and presentation
o November/December/January :
 TEDxYouth@CBES Lunches to cover presentation skills.
 Presenters meet with faculty sponsors.
o Presentation date: Friday, February 20th
