Hith President trand in the chair, the Faculty Council met in
its regular Apr 1 session at 4:00 o'clock. Members present

President Stran spoke of the origin of the Faculty Council and
of faculty orga izations preceding it in the history of Oregon
State College. He said the need for a body like the Faculty

C. V. Langton. The report of the committee was submitted
December 1, 194.
The first meeting of the Faculty Council was
March 9, 1945. President Strand then called on Dr. C. E. Maser,
