President Strand ead a statement pertaining to the Portland
State Extension C nter, 'pointing out that the name nPortland
state Collegen as collOquially used had no official
sanction
nor had it degree g:ranting authority.
He called on Dr. Ordeman
to outline the 8i uation regarding Oregon State College degrees
through the Portl nd State Extension Center.
Discussion followed
in which mention as made of the aeademic standards at Portland
Center and the de irability
of a unifonn policy on the part of
the University of Oregon and oregon state College.
It was agreed
that the matter w uld be discussed further at a later meeting.
