*Many special education students are eligible to participate in the Federal Title I School Choice Option at the designated schools. However, certain services required
by a student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) may not be available at each of the designated schools. For example, students who qualify for special services such as
the Learning and Academic Disabilities (LAD) program may have two other designated schools identified because those schools offer an equivalent special education
program. Families with special needs students are encouraged to contact the Division of School-based Special Education Services at 301-517-5070 for additional
information.
