Week 4
1. Can a volunteer be reimbursed for mileage and child care costs if it is a barrier for their being
able to help our organization? If yes, what line item would this be entered under?
Volunteers may receive reimbursement for mileage and other appropriate compensation when
documented through an organization’s policies and forms. Please enter these expenses under
the line item - supplies and expenses.
2. In previous years we have provided financial assistance for rent through the PA grant. Going
forward, we would like to include mortgages with rent to be covered by financial assistance.
Do these need to be two separate categories? Can they we included together? Please advise.
Financial assistance provided for emergency living expenses can all be included in one line item.
3. On form A, Page 14 what is meant under the Heading Requested Funding – Total Amount of
Proposed Budget? Is that our yearly request or our total 3 year request?
The Total Amount on Proposed Budget (Form A) is asking for the applicant to include your total
funding for the 3 year request.
4. Are the page limits for the Organizational Capacity and Grant Proposal suppose to be single
spaced, double spaced - does it matter?
There are no requirements for single or double spacing. The applicant can make that decision.
