Pre-Elementary Education Option
Preparation for Admission to a Teacher Licensing Program
This is YOUR graduation checklist.
COMPLETION OF GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STUDENT.
This pre-elementary education program is
designed to prepare thoughtful, knowledgeable,
and effective educators for a diverse society.
Pre-elementary education students can choose
any concentration shown on page four of this
document. This major prepares you to apply to
teacher licensure programs in elementary
education; some are listed on the last page.
We encourage our students to solve problems,
make good decisions, and show respect.
For an advising appointment, please contact the

OVERVIEW
Any major may be used for
admission to a teacher licensing
program. However, since
elementary classroom teachers
need to be generalists with a
broad knowledge of subject
matter, an interdisciplinary Liberal
Studies degree is recommended.
On this page you will find seven
choices. Choose the one which fits
your interests and strengths.
