Parents from the MCPS Parent Advisory Council (PAC) will lead a Parent
Academy workshop on April 30, 2009, How to Talk with Teachers and
Principals to Help Your Child Succeed. The workshop will offer information
on how to effectively talk with teachers and principals and advocate for
their child. Parents will have the opportunity to share tips with other
parents and take home helpful resources.
This parent advocacy workshop is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, from
7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Carver Educational Services
Center, 850 Hungerford Drive in Rockville. Register for the workshop online,
by phone at 301-517-5940, or at the door. Free child care will be provided
for children aged 4-12. Interpreters will be available in Spanish, Chinese,
Korean, French and Vietnamese.
The workshop is being coordinated by the Office of Communications and
Family Outreach (OCFO) and the PAC. The PAC provides advice to the
school system on ways to strengthen parent involvement and improve
communication between families and schools.

MCPS Parent Advisory Council (PAC:학부모 자문 위원회)의 학부모가 2009

참석하신 부모님들은 다른 부모님들과 정보를 나누는 기회와 유익한 자료를
얻으시게 됩니다.
워크숍은 Office of Communications and Family Outreach (OCFO)와 PAC
이 협력하여 제공합니다. 학부모 자문위원회는 학부모 참여를 강화하게 하며
가정과 학교 사이의 의사소통을 원활하게 하기 위한 방법 등에 대한 조언을
교육구에 제공하는 기관입니다.
Les Parents du MCPS Advisory Council (PAC) dirigeront un atelier d’Académie
Pour les Parents le 30 Avril, 2009, “Comment Parler Avec les Enseignants et
Directeurs Pour Aider Votre Enfant à Réussir”. L’atelier offrira des informations
sur comment parler efficacement avec les enseignants et directeurs pour
plaider en faveur de votre enfant. Les parents auront l’occasion de partager
des conseils avec d’autres parents et ramener à la maison des ressources
utiles.
Cet atelier de sensibilisation des parents est prévu pour le jeudi 30 Avril, de
19h00 à 20h30 heures dans l’auditorium du Carver Educational Services
Center, 850 Hungerford Drive, à Rockville. Inscrivez-vous à l’atelier en ligne
sur l’internet, par téléphone au 301-517-5940, ou à la porte. La garde d’enfants
gratuite sera assurée pour les enfants âgés de 4 à 12 ans. Des interprètes
seront disponibles en Espagnol, Chinois, Coréen, Français et Vietnamien.

Parent Academy vào ngày 30 tháng 4, 2009, Làm Cách Nào Để Nói Chuyện
với Thầy Giáo và Hiệu Trưởng Để Giúp Con Em Thành Công. Buổi họp sẽ
cung cấp thông tin về cách nào để nói chuyện một cách có hiệu quả với thầy

những lời khuyên nhủ với phụ huynh khác và nhận những thông tin ích lợi.
Buổi thông tin về biện hộ cho phụ huynh này được tổ chức vào ngày thứ Năm
30 tháng 4, từ 7 giờ đến 8 giờ 30 tối tại thính đường của Carver Educational
Services Center, 850 Hungerford Drive ở Rockville. Ghi danh cho buổi họp trên

Los padres que pertenecen a MCPS Parent Advisory Council (PAC) dirigirán un
taller de la Academia Para Padres el día 30 de abril de 2009, titulado “Cómo
Hablar con los Maestros y Directores Para Ayudarle a Su Hijo a Triunfar”. El
taller ofrecerá información sobre cómo hablar eficazmente con los maestros
y los directores de escuelas para poder actuar en beneficio de su hijo/a. Los
padres tendrán la oportunidad de compartir consejos con otros padres y
llevarse a casa recursos útiles.
Este taller de apoyo para los padres está programado para el jueves, 30 de abril,
de 7:00 a 8:30 p.m., en el auditorio de Carver Educational Services Center, 850
Hungerford Drive, en Rockville. Inscríbase en línea para asistir al taller, o por
teléfono llamando al 301-517-5940, o en la puerta el día del evento. Habrá
servicio de cuidado infantil gratuito para niños entre las edades de 4 y 12 años.
