Support hours are (Wallace A650): o Thursday, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM o Fridays, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM • The following programs have been recently reviewed by Grad Council: o CAST Service Leadership and Innovation Masters Program o COS Imaging Science PhD Program • The following programs have been approved by Academic Senate: o KGCOE M.S. in Applied Statistics - Type 1 Conversion, 45 QCH to 30 SCH o KGCOE Advanced Certificate in Statistical Quality - Type 1 Conversion, 18 QCH to 12 SCH o KGCOE Advanced Certificate in Statistical Methods for Product and Process Improvement - Type 1 Conversion, 18 QCH to 12 SCH o COS M.S. in Color Science - Type 1 Conversion, 45 QCH to 30 SCH New course titles - Two 1 SCH and Two 2 SCH courses: labs and research proposal, an exemption is required- this is on Cross Disciplinary Committee agenda o COS Ph.D. in Color Science - Type 1 Conversion, 99 QCH to 60 SCH New course titles o CIAS M.S. in Print Media - Type 1 Conversion, 48 QCH to 36 SCH All courses 3 SCH o COS M.S. in Imaging Science - Type 1 Conversion, 45 QCH to 30 SCH One course deleted: content merged into two existing courses o CAST M.S. in Human Resource Development - Type 2 Conversion, 48 QCH to 36 SCH All proposed courses are 3 SCH - o CAST faculty decided the program needed updating since the last official update with NYSED in 1994 and current information from the Academy of Human Resource Development and comparisons with other benchmark curriculums Four concentrations were proposed as part of the new program: - Organizational Learning - Training and Development - Global HRD - Customized Concentration with faculty approval • The following programs have been recently reviewed by ICC: o KGCOE Chemical Engineering o KGCOE Biomedical Engineering o KGCOE Electrical Engineering o KGCOE Micro Engineering • The Cross Disciplinary Committee reviewed the following waiver requests: Requesting to offer the following service courses in a four credit hour format. COS – School of Biological & Medical Sciences : o o o o o Field Biology (4) Anatomy & Physiology I & Lab (3+1) Anatomy & Physiology II & Lab (3+1) General Biology I & Lab (3+1) General Biology II & Lab (3+1) Requesting to offer the following program specific courses in a non-three credit hour format. The Intersession Committee met 11/5/10 and is scheduled to meet again 11/15/10. Fernando Naveda presented at the Academic Department Chairs and Directors Meeting 11/5/10. The Student Affairs Curriculum Committee met 11/5/10 and is scheduled to meet again 11/10/10. Guests will be from the Intersession Committee chaired by Kit Mayberry. • An open forum for Student Affairs will be held on Wednesday, 11/10/10, at noon in the Bamboo Room to provide updates regarding the CRM/SIS and Q2S projects. • The Cross Disciplinary Committee met on 10/2/10 and is scheduled to meet again 10/9/10. • The General Education Committee met 11/5/10. Representatives from Gen Ed will be meeting with the ICC November 8-10 to present the recommendations for the revised General Education Curriculum.
