Academic “Scheduling Officers” are the most important group of users for this go-live. They each bring a critical wealth of knowledge about their own RIT colleges, and because of their scope, many have also played a most important role coordinating their college’s program documentation for Semester Conversion. For the new SIS, “Scheduling Officers” have participated in over fifty-hours of training spread over the last four months and have been very involved with process redesign and documentation. In addition, last week and this week, these pioneering users are key participants in the new SIS user acceptance testing, the final phase to ensure launch readiness. These remarkable “Scheduling Officers” are: Michele Allis, KGCOE; Linda Chamot, SCB; Dugan Davies, Student Affairs; Heidi Davis, COLA; Karen Ester, KGCOE; Ann Gottorff, COS; Trish Herkimer, Office of the Registrar; Linda L Kenville-Hill, COLA; Teresa A Merritt, CIAS; Joanne Roets, GCCIS; Rhonda Jo Sliker, NTID; Michelle Weterrings, CAST; and Elizabeth White, CMS. The training and testing has been led by Doug Hausner, Sr. Associate Registrar. • NYSED has approved 100 academic programs.
