Guidelines on Establishment of ISU Alumni Association Scholarship
for Fresh Graduates of the International College at I-Shou University
Adopted on September 25, 2012 at the third meeting of the
Executive Board Meeting of the International College in the
first semester of the academic year 2012
I.
The International College of I-Shou University (hereinafter referred to as the “College”)
hereby establishes the Guidelines on Establishment of ISU Alumni Association Scholarship for
Fresh Graduates of the International College at I-Shou University (hereinafter referred to as
the “Guidelines”) pursuant to Provision IV stipulated in the Regulations for Establishment of
ISU Alumni Association Scholarship at I-Shou University.
II.
The rules for the evaluation and selection of the scholarship recipients are as follows:
1.
Qualifications:
A.
Fresh graduates of the College
B.
Students who received an average academic grade of 80 or above in the previous
seven semesters (the grade for the second semester of fourth academic year is not
included) and a conduct score of 82 or above in all seven semesters may file the
application.
2.
Application procedures:
A.
The applicants shall fill in the Application Form for the ISU Alumni Association
Scholarship for Fresh Graduates of the International College, and submit the
application to the Dean’s Office of the College before the graduation ceremony. The
detailed application schedule shall be otherwise stipulated and announced by the
College.
B.
The documents required for the application include: The application form, the
academic transcript of all semesters, other supporting documents for applicants’
excellent performance and the recommendation letter written by the Department
Chair or the advisor.
III. Review procedures:
1.
The College will conduct a preliminary qualification review upon the receipt of the
application.
2.
The College will collect the applications approved in the preliminary review and submit
to the Review Task Force for subsequent review. The Review Task Force is composed of
4-6 members recommended by the Dean of the College.
3.
The Dean’s Office of the College will submit the list of candidate who received highest
votes to the Alumni Service Section of the Career Development Center at I-Shou
University one month prior to the graduation ceremony.
IV. Affairs not mentioned herein may be amended when necessary
V.
The Guidelines become effective on the third day of promulgation after being adopted by the
College Affairs Council and submitted to the Alumni Service Section of the Career
Development Center at I-Shou University for future reference.
Note: In the event of any disputes or misunderstanding as to the interpretation of the language or
terms of the Guidelines, the Chinese language version shall prevail.
