Students who have not taken SAT tests or who did not achieve required scores must take the Accuplacer, College Placement Test.
The Accuplacer has many different tests that are available in different areas. Based on your SAT scores and the specific Concurrent
Enrollment Program (CEP) SCCC course(s) that you are interested in taking, you may not have to take all of the tests. This form indicates
which test(s) you will need to take. You must achieve a passing score on the test before enrolling in any CEP courses.
There is no fee for CEP students to take the placement test(s). The basic Accuplacer tests may be retaken only once. Students may not
retake College Level Math (CLM).
ONLY if you are taking the test at SCCC, the following procedures apply:
1. If you do not already have a SCCC ID number, you will need to get one prior to registering for the test.
2. The SCCC Counseling Center can provide you with study guides and additional information regarding preparing for the
test(s). Or you can go to SCCC’s website: sussex.edu/academics/testing/placement.php
3. Call the Learning Center at (973) 300-2150. Be prepared to give them your name, your SCCC ID Number, your telephone
number and the name of your high school. Make sure you tell them you are a CEP student. They will schedule your test date.
4. On the day of the test, proceed to the SCCC Testing Center (B317) and give this form to the proctor. You must have a valid
photo ID to take the test.
5. After the test, the proctor will give the pink copy of this form back to you.
6. Take this form, along with any attachments, to your high school CEP Coordinator.
