Workshops are FREE but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! To register: Send an email to:
[email protected] with the following:
• Your full name and MCPS 6 digit student ID
• Your workshop choice with date and time and a phone number where you can be reached
• Include “Summer 2015 Workshop Registration” in the email subject line
Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis - confirmed by email. All
morning sessions are repeated in the afternoon – one program presented twice each day
June 22rd
You and Naviance 10:30 am-12:00 noon OR 1:00 pm-2:30 pm Room 114
Target Audience: Freshman-Rising Seniors: A great Partnership. Learn to
navigate your college and career exploration from the very start with this
computer program tailored to you. Internet friendly –used anywhere; stores
your data each year till graduations. Parents set up accounts also.

College Application & Essay Workshop 10:30 am-12:00 noon

Tips and tools on essay writing from the college admissions perspective. Topics include:
Getting Specific with your Application, Making the Most of your College Visit, Creating
an Effective College Search, What college Admission representatives are looking for in
your Essay?

Financial Aid/ Workshop, 10:30 am-12:00 noon OR 1:00pm-2:30pm
Financial Aid Outreach Counselor, Montgomery College Target
Audience: Grades 9-12
Students and families will become familiar with the Financial Aid process for
college, FAFSA, scholarships and grants.
