Unit 1 Project
DUE: Friday, September 18th by 8:30 a.m. Answers must be submitted in the HUB by this time; any answer
submitted after this time will be considered late. Also, ensure you have access to the HUB and your AP Human
GEO course, if you do not, you need to follow up with your instructor to ensure you have access.
NOTE: This assignment has a lot of reading and will require a significant amount of time, plan accordingly.
This assignment does require you to have internet access for the second activity and to submit your final
answers. Make certain your schedule allows for this online access.
SUBMIT: Answers will be submitted in the HUB; it is recommended that you do your work and type it in a
word document; you can then cut and paste your answers directly into the HUB response boxes. The HUB
response boxes will become available no later than Monday, September 14th, they will simply be the same
questions that you are answering for Activity 1 and Activity 2.
RESOURCE: You will find the case study, “True Maps, False Impressions” in the folder that you downloaded
from your instructor onto your computer. The file is located under “Case Studies” and the file is called, “True
maps, False Impressions.” As you go through the case study you will find that it has two activities, Activity 1
and Activity 2, you are responsible for both. Activity 2 will ask you to go online, detailed instructions on where
you need to go online are provided below in getting to the website and resource.
