THE CHARLOTTE W. NEWCOMBE FOUNDATION Scholarship About the Scholarship The fund was created by the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation for adult students 25 years of age and older who need financial assistance in completing their education. In making awards for financial support special consideration is given to the life circumstances and family responsibilities of older students. Eligibility • • • • • • Must be a matriculated undergraduate degree student Student must be at least 25 years of age Must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits Completion of at least 24 credits at Hunter with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 Completion of at least 60 credits towards the degree Demonstration of financial need for 2017-2018 How to Apply • • • • • • • Must meet all eligibility requirements above. All students must complete the 2017-2018 FAFSA or renewal FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov. New York State residents must also file the TAP application. The TAP application can be completed in the same on-line session as the FAFSA. (TAP website: www.hesc.com) A one page autobiography (description on the application form) Completed Application form below. All documents must be received by the office of the Dean of Students by May 11, 2017 Announcement of awards will be made by early October. PLEASE NOTE: Other financial aid may be reduced if you are awarded a Charlotte W. Newcombe Scholarship.
