WHO: English 9-12, on-level and honors. AP Language and AP Literature students will have
separate assignments.
WHAT: Select a high-school appropriate book to read from any genre. Please avoid choosing a
book you have read or will read in a high school English course.
Book Recommendations: Go to https://sites.google.com/a/mcpsmd.net/wheaton-summerreading-2015/ for a list of books your teachers have recommended. You may choose a book from
this list or one of your preference. The recommended books are available from local libraries,
bookstores, or online sources.
