PARENT CHECKLIST
To help you get organized, the RHMS PTA has developed a Checklist for you. If you complete all the tasks below,
you and your child(ren) will be off to a great start this school year! The items with an ( * ) can be done during
Wildcat Welcome and during Back to School Night.






Purchase an Assignment Book.
Purchase and pick up PE uniforms.
Set up a lunch account for your child (cafeteria).
Join the PTA (Fill out membership form).
Purchase the required school supplies to make sure your child(ren) are prepared for the first day of school.
Read all materials contained in the “Back to School Information” on the website and return all forms with
your child(ren) in the first week of school. (Additional forms will be coming home the first week of school.)
DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL:



Bus Route #s - Parents and students need to know their bus route numbers to and from school (it may not
be the same, but in most cases it is). Parents who drop their child off in the morning, please remember to tell
your child their bus route number before they get out of the car if they ride the bus home.
Fill out and send in the Parent Reunification Form and Emergency Information Sheets the 1st week of
school. In order for you to receive ConnectEd messages via email or phone, please make sure you fill in your
email and phone number.
Edline - A parent edline account activation code will be sent to you at your home address from the central
MCPS office via the US postal service. It will be a separate code from the one your child will receive in
school. Both you and your child need to activate your own accounts. Look for your code to arrive during the
first few weeks of school and follow the instructions on your personal invitation.

Fill out Birthday Banner form to see your child’s name on the Rocky Hill Sign on Rt. 355
Purchase Rocky Hill Spirit Wear
Support the Wildcats Care Initiative
