Welcome Letter from the PTA president 2015-2016

Dear Wildcat Families,
On behalf of the Rocky Hill Middle School (RHMS) PTA, welcome! We hope your summer has been full of joy with family and
friends and that you are ready to begin the 2015 – 2016 school year with an abundance of energy and community building!
We are very excited about the plans we have for this year. The parents, staff and students have been hard at work this
summer working to make this year a memorable one. We look forward to working with you as we continue to build a spirit of
community, communication and compassion.
Our summer membership drive has been in full force and we look forward to having all parents and staff join us for a banner
year! Being a member of the RHMS PTA makes you a part of the mosaic that represents the diversity and opportunity here at
RHMS. As a member of the PTA, you have a voice and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students every
day. As a result of the generosity of our members the PTA continues to support RHMS with academics, enrichment
opportunities, field trips, and much more. If you have not already done so, please consider becoming a member of the PTA
this year. Your voice matters and our children are counting on all of us. The summer special runs from now until
August 15th!! Parent memberships are just $15.
This year the PTA in conjunction with the staff of RHMS will launch the Wildcat Cares Initiative. The Wildcat Cares Initiative
has been established to assist and support those students, families, and community members in need. In addition, this
initiative recognizes, supports and celebrates the Veterans and Active Duty members of the military who sacrifices benefit us
all. This donation based initiative will transform the lives of Wildcats one roar at a time. Stay connected with the PTA and
sign up to receive updates and events and all things PTA @ http://eepurl.com/brnEVD.
We look forward to meeting you at the Wildcat Welcome this year. Please stop by one of our many tables to say hello and find
out about the exciting things we have in store for the year.
All of your Executive Officers, Chairs and Representatives are committed to making a difference in the lives of our children
this year. Dr. Maya Angelou once said, “I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people.”
There’s a hero inside every one of our Wildcats ~ let’s make this the year that our heroes make Rocky Hill a better place for all.
Onward,
Alicia Wilson ~ Rocky Hill PTA President ~ 2015-2016
