EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Notes: * To participate in any activity taking place after school, the
$30.00 extracurricular activities fee must be sent to the "MCPS central office".
DO NOT MAKE CHECKS OUT TO ROBERT FROST.
(Fee forms can be obtained at the After-School Activities Bulletin Board,
at the MCPS Website, and in the main office.)
* In order to remain in any after-school activity students must maintain a 2.0 grade
point average (GPA) with the exception of these clubs:
- Wootton Tutoring
-Homework Club
- Algebra Tutoring
* Students will be assigned to clubs on a first-come-first-served basis. Some clubs have
limited space, so students should sign up promptly to get the clubs they want.
* Students who stay after school must be under adult supervision by 3:10 pm. Activity
buses will depart at 4:35 pm. Students are not permitted to leave the school grounds
unsupervised and return to ride the activity bus home. The activity bus is designated for
students who participate in after school activities.
* Spring clubs will begin Tuesday, February 2nd and end Thursday, May 26th unless
otherwise noted. Sign-up for spring clubs will be held in January.

ORGANIC GARDEN CLUB

Students will plant and maintain an organic vegetable garden.
This is a partnership with the Silver Diner Restaurant.

Do you know the answers to questions about various topics –
from history, to current events, to sports, to science? Would you
like to compete with a group of your friends, pressing buzzers to
see who answers the fastest? Students will compete in teams of
3 to 5 students so gather up your friends and see Mr. Anton for
additional information.

MATH TEAM
Students will spend time with senior citizens at The Village at
Rockville doing activities such as art, music, fitness, book club,
current event discussions, and technology courses.

Are you a girl interested in building dynamic websites, creating
games on Scratch and learning to code in HTML, CSS and Java
script? Join “Dream In Code,” a technology club providing class
room instruction, guest speakers, and hands-on learning. Learn
the fundamentals of computer science, and be exposed to
careers in the industry!

Students learn about shelving books according to the Dewey
Decimal System, plan and decorate for upcoming events, and
pick out and review new books for our school.

Recycling club members will help with recycling collection,
evaluating (grading) our program, and increasing environmental
awareness of staff/ students/ and the Frost community.

INTRAMURAL SPORTS
Intramural sports are offered to all eligible students before or
after school on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.
Before school activities and times vary depending on teacher. Please see the bulletin board by
the front doors and listen to the morning announcements for details.
