In order to earn a high school Fine Arts credit,
students must successfully complete both of
these courses. Each class may also be taken
individually, but no HS credit will be awarded

Must pass the final exam at the end of the 2nd
semester
➢
Students who meet these criteria, by earning an
A, B, C, or D, will receive HS credit and will have
these grades count towards their MCPS high
school grade point average (GPA).

Student Service Learning (SSL)

Students must earn 75 hours of SSL to graduate from
any Public High School in Maryland.
➢
Students may earn SSL hours during the summer.
➢
Students may earn 10 hours of SSL for activities
infused into the grade 8 US History curriculum.
