Students who do not have a second exam scheduled have the option of leaving immediately after the first exam, and students who do not have a first exam scheduled have the option of arriving late, but they must arrange their own transportation. Students who report to school and are not taking an exam, MUST REPORT TO THEIR CLASSES and teachers MUST BE AVAILABLE at their designated location. If a student is absent for a scheduled exam, he/she must bring in a parental note to the attendance secretary in order to schedule a make-up. It is the responsibility of the student to contact the teacher in order to schedule a make-up time for any missed exam(s). Activity bus tickets will be distributed during breakfast and at 10:00 in the cafeteria Security will be available in the cafeteria after 12:45 as a study hall area Make-up Exams No exam will be given before the arranged time. All make-up exams must be scheduled with the student’s teacher prior to the make-up time. Students with an excused absence must, except in very extreme circumstances, contact teachers on the day of the scheduled exam, if not beforehand, to schedule a make-up. Students with an unexcused absence on the date and time of the original exam may not be permitted to make-up any exam without the permission of the teacher. Student may not drop-in to make-up missed exams without making arrangements prior to the make-up window. [Type here] Transportation during Final Exams: MCPS buses run at the normal morning and afternoon times during semester exams. In addition, students MUST secure a bus ticket in the cafeteria on the days of exams to get on the 12:45 activity bus. The tickets will be distributed during breakfast or lunch time at 10:00 a.m. in order to get on the 12:45 bus. There will also be regular bus departure at 2:30 p.m. Students who choose to arrive late or leave early because they do not have an exam MUST provide their own transportation. Inclement Weather during Final Exams: If there is a delayed opening, exams will be moved to coincide with the delayed starting time. For example, for a two-hour delay, the final exam schedule is 9:45 – 11:50 (first exam), 11:50 – 12:25 (lunch), and 12:25 - 2:30 (second exam).
