Tech Mod Summer 2013 Login Information and First Day Tips
MCPSMD Domain
During Your First Days Back at School, please take the time to check and make sure that you are
able to perform the tasks below. If you have technical difficulties, please document the problem and
contact your ITSS (Information Technology Systems Specialist) or call the Help Desk (301-517-5800).
Login Information:
The username and password that you will use to login to your computer is the same as your Active
Directory (Outlook) username and password. However, as a Tech Mod Summer 2013 school, you will
now be using the MCPSMD domain. When using an application that requires you to enter a domain,
enter MCPSMD as the domain.
Email Smart Phone Settings:
You will need to open the settings on your smartphone, and then edit the mail configuration to change
your domain name from SEC or ES to MCPSMD. The specific directions for editing the mail account
settings vary for each make and model of phone. Please contact the Help Desk (301-517-5800) if you
have any difficulty.
To Change Your Password:
Note: If you change your password, it will be changed for your computer login, your Outlook account,
and all other Active Directory applications (Pinnacle Gradebook, OASIS, FMS, Data Warehouse,
ePayStub, myMCPS, PACS Web, OSS IEP, etc.).
1. Log in to myID from school or home at https://myID.mcpsmd.org.
2. Log in using your current MCPS username and password and then select the My Account link on the
left. Select the Change Password link on the left and follow the directions to create a new password
that meets MCPS security standards.
Note: You will be required to change your MCPS password every 120 days.
