Searching for SSL Opportunities On-Line
1. Go to the MCPS website – www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org
2. In the search box at the top of the page, type in SSL.
3. On the next page, click on the “Student Service Learning” link.
4. In the blue box on the left, click on “Organizations.” In the box in the middle of the page
where it says “zip” type in your zip code, and using the arrow to the right, choose within
10 miles. You will see the list of organizations that are approved for SSL. You can click
on any that look interesting and read about them.
5. Next, go to the pink box on the right, type in your zip code. Then use the arrow to select
within 10 miles and click on “calendar.” A calendar will appear that will show events
that have SSL opportunities for specific dates. Click on them to explore.
