MCPS has a confidential Safe Schools Hotline to report threats, or safety and security violations. You can call 301-517-5995, 24 hours a day/seven days a week. Students who see something and/or hear something suspicious that they would like to report can Text-a-Tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Parents are encouraged to learn more about MCPS safety procedures by visiting the Safety and Security website http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/security/ Videos on the site explain school security procedures and protocols, including the difference between a lockdown, shelter in place and evacuation.
