One of the most exciting events of the sixth-grade year is Outdoor Education. This is a threeday, two-night educational program designed for all Montgomery County sixth-graders. This experience is an important part of the sixth-grade MCPS curriculum and includes related assessments or tasks in all subject areas. Rocky Hill students will attend Outdoor Education at Summit Lake, a beautiful site near Thurmont, MD. Students will attend one of three sessions: Session 1: April 13 – 15, 2016 Session 2: April 18 – 20, 2016 Session 3: April 20 – 22, 2016 All sessions are fully supervised and staffed by Rocky Hill teachers, administration, parent volunteers, and high school student counselors. Please mark your calendars to attend the informative meeting on January 7th in the Rocky Hill cafeteria. See details below.
