Cabins Cabins You will find out who is in your cabin the day that you leave! There are 7 bunk beds (14 beds) in most cabins. There are about 12 students in each cabin. We try and get any combination of 1 parent, 1 high school counselor, or 1 teacher per cabin. WE NEED PARENT VOLUNTEERS AT NIGHT. 2 cabins are adjacent (like 2 townhouses). Each cabin has their own bathroom with 2 showers, 2 toilets, and 2 sinks. Cabins Cont…. High School counselors will help make a shower schedule. Some students will have to shower at night and some in the morning. Everyone must shower at least once!! Cabins and bathrooms will be inspected and scored daily by the camp nurse. If they are not satisfactory, you will go back and do it correctly. Do it right the first time! Cabins will have to work together to plan and present a cheer or song for Cabin Idol. All of these will be presented on the 2nd night w/prizes for the best overall, most creative etc. Rules: NEVER go into your cabin without an adult. ALWAYS make sure the lights are off when you leave. NEVER go into another cabin. If you need to talk to someone in another cabin, knock on the door and talk out on the porch. BOYS are not to be near the girls’ cabins. GIRLS are not be near the boys’ cabins. BOYS and GIRLS are on opposite sides of camp!! Rules Cont…. YOU get to choose which bed you want, but we reserve the right to move you to a different bed or a different cabin if you can’t follow the rules of the camp or the adult in your cabin!! LIGHTS out occurs sometime between 10:30 and 11:00 pm. Rules Cont…. REMEMBER you are living with many other people and must be respectful of their property (in other words don’t touch anyone else’s stuff). Kids also need different amounts of sleep, some like scary stories and others don’t, so we must learn to balance and respect EVERYONE!! BE respectful of each person and who they are!!! You don’t have to be their best friend but you MUST respect them.
