Internationalism in action: IB Exam Destinations
The IB students are all nearing the “finish line” of their IB Coursework with ALL CORE IB Assessments
complete and nearly all Internal Assessments formally turned in and ready to send off to the examiners. Each
component of any given IB course examination is sent off to a unique destination to a trained IB Examiner
for scoring. IB is most assuredly an international experience in all ways, not the least of which is
demonstrated through the diverse and unique nature of this examination scoring process. To give you a
taste of the “International” nature of the IB Assessment process, I’ll include here the destinations for the

The IB has recently adapted examination procedures to anonymize student work via electronic upload
processes of student work, which both allows for examination papers within a school to be scored by
multiple examiners, and which saves local school programs considerable cost by eliminating shipping fees
for all electronically uploaded components.
