making a donation to the PTSA through our Direct Donation program. The PTSA uses this program in lieu of
fundraisingprograms(suchasGiftWraporpizzakits).Yourduesandtax‐deductibledonationssupportthemany
activities the PTSA sponsors – activities that support our staff and enrich our students’ academic and social
experiences.JoiningthePTSAalsoentitlesyoutoaschooldirectory.Studiesshowthatkidsofparentswhoare
involvedwiththeirchildren’sschooldobetteracademically.

the school year, like our always popular Back‐to‐School Picnic for parents and students on Thursday evening,
September 3rd, as well as our Movie Night, Career Day, Book Fairs, Charity Basketball Game, and International
Night.

InadditiontothePTSA,theTildenMiddleSchoolEducationFoundationwasformedrecentlytofillfundinggapsin
support of education activities such as items needed for the renovation of Tilden Middle School. The foundation
includesparents,staff,andmembersofthecommunityandisaqualifiednon‐profitorganization.Youwillbehearing
