John Poole Middle School

Principal’s Message
Upcoming Dates:
I would like to start by congratulating Ms. Smith on the great job she did
during her 7 weeks serving as the acting principal. Leaving JPMS for that
period of time was not easy, but I know that Ms. Smith worked exceptionally
hard to make sure that we stayed on track providing each of our students with
the best possible education! I would also like to thank Mr. Brubaker who
stepped in and did an awesome job as our visiting principal.



Over the past seven weeks, I had the privilege to serve as a visiting
principal at an elementary school in Clarksburg. This was a truly eye-opening
experience for me. It was awesome to see how students are taught at the
elementary level all the way from kindergarten, where students are
transitioning into learning, to 5th grade, where students are being prepared for
middle school and beyond. This experience provided me with a much better
understanding of the differences in instructional practices between elementary
and middle school levels. This learning will help me frame the work we are
doing at the middle level and better align our practices with the instruction
students are familiar with from their elementary school years!

Lastly, I would like to remind our 5th, 6th, and 7th grade parents that student
registration forms need to be completed, signed, and returned by March 2,
2016. It is vital that we get these forms so that we can make sure we have the
staffing we need. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel
free to contact me.
Respectfully,
Mr. Robert Sinclair Jr, Principal
