Elsevier’s award for Best Scientific work/ Clinical theme
1) Participants:
- The maximum number of participants (authors/co-authors) is 3 people, all of them registered
in CIMQ’17
- All the authors have the category of authors and the co-authors of co-authors.
- The acceptance or dismissal of the scientific work doesn’t exempt the students from paying
the inscription of CIMQ’17
- The Organizing Committee of CIMQ’17 reserved the possibility of limiting the number of oral
presentations for organizing and physical matters.
- The remittance of scientific work implies the acceptance of the norms and rules regarding the
award.
- The participants will be students or residents.
2) Theme
- The theme of the work is any original presentation in the ambit of clinical sciences/ health
sciences (pharmacy, research, chemistry, biology…)
3) Format
- The abstract will be send until the 15th of February
- El Abstract se enviará antes del 15 de Febrero a las 11:59 pm to be evaluated.
- Th estructure of the work is as followed:
- Title
- Introduction
- Materials and method
- Results
- Conclusion
The work will be submited to [email protected] with the subject “PRESENTACION” +
name of the work.
In the e-mail, the student must include:
1. Name of the work
2. Name of the team members
3. Tutor (in the event there is one)
4. University/hospital
5. E-mail
6. Telephone number
4) Approval
- The abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee of CIMQ’17
- The Scientific Committee will send the student an e-mail confirming the reception and
acceptance of the work
- The student is responsible for bringing the poster to the Congress. The maximum size
permitted is A1. Originality and quality of the work is valued.
- The Scientific Committee will select some of the students’ Works so that the selected ones
are presented at the Congress in the form of oral presentation.
- The resolution will be published on the 1st of March 2017
5) Oral presentation:
- The summary of the oral communication should be original and can’t be presented in any
other platform before.
- The language of the oral presentation is mandatorily Spanish or English
- The Scientific Committee of CIMQ’17 will select the best oral presentations in order to select
the winner
- The poster’s presentation is 7 minutes of oral presentation and 3 minutes for questions.
- The oral communication is 10 minutes and 5 minutes for questions.
6) PREMIOS
- The award will be given to the best poster and best oral comunication
- There is only one winner/ winner group
- The winning group will receive an award sponsored by Elsevier and the possibility of
publishing their work in a scientific publication.
- The winning group will be interviewed and included in an exclusive about CIMQ’17
- The Scientific Committee’s decisión will be disclosed on the 15th of March 2017.
- The jury of the awards will be composed by the members of the Scientific Committee of
CIMQ17
- The jury’s decisions are unappealable
- The awards will be given on the 15th of March 2017
7) Ethics code
- A member of the organizing committee/ students’ committee for CIMQ’17 can’t apply to the
Best Scientific Award.
- The scientific work/information of the participants will be under protection and will not be
revealed under any circumstances before the resolution of the 1st of March 2017.
- The information send by the student to our e-mail account will be protected, under the
responsibility of the Organizing Committee.
