mariner or have experience in a maritime environment to join us. But if you do, then

are shipshape and delivering customer service excellence across a busy commercial
lifeline port, thriving leisure market and historic harbours, as well as having
responsibility for the Coastguard. That all adds up to a diverse, dynamic and distinct
portfolio that runs 24/7, 365 days a year. And, with an ambitious business agenda,
those activities continue to grow and develop.
Because no two days/nights will be the same, you must be prepared for anything
and comfortable switching from the routine and predictable to the unusual and
potentially emergency situations. So we’ll provide the on-the-ground training you’ll
need to get your marine/technological knowledge up to speed to take the necessary
qualifications. It’s also those core lifeskills that make you who you are that we’re also
interested in, and you could have gained those from almost any working experience.
First and foremost is your ability to interact effectively with anyone from any walk of
life in any circumstance. You remain cool, calm and collected and apply sound
judgement and commonsense to whatever you encounter, and continually look for
the positive solution. And, of course, you handle the various regulatory and business
reporting processes with a great eye for accuracy and always on time.
