He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8 Have you noticed that this verse, these three things, they exemplify the life of Christ. His desire for Justice, so much that he restores us to God. Confronting the pharisees and the teachers of the law — the temple bureaucracy His loving kindness, demonstrate to us, in that restoration. His compassion to those who were broken. His desire to heal, to feed, to proclaim, The humility of Christ Philippians 2:3-6 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,[a] 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. It is a Spiritual Battle, So be equipped by the Spirit It cannot be done by man alone. It cannot be done just by our goodness. It’s why God gives us his holy spirit, so that we can discern justice — and act on it. so that we can love kindness // He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8 We cannot be bystanders We must BE ALIVE rituals, routines, offerings, sacrifice — these were sacraments of the temple. even more so, at the time of the prophets, it was a challenge to whether we should just return to the rituals of old. When in actuality, it was a call to Live God. When we understand our position in Christ — sanctified and holy — we understand that in this Spiritual battle daily we take up our position as CHRISTIANS — FOLLOWERS of the Almighty God — and we declare that from this Day Forth, we LIVE. He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8 Speak out for Christ — with our words and our actions. Demonstrating His Love and Mercy. Demonstrating a life lived rightly. Seeking Him for how to live Justly each day. For us this year Faith Desired & Demonstrated Proclaim Christ, in Word & Deed Walk Humbly, Generationally Proclaim out for Christ — with our words and our actions. Demonstrating His Love and Mercy. Demonstrating a life lived rightly. Seeking Him for how to live Justly each day. It is that combination of acting Justly, and Loving Kindness — or Mercy, grace.
