Here we will be treated to a private behind-the-scenes tour of the facility (subject to availability), which is the only stadium in North America with a roll-out natural grass field and retractable roof. From here we travel to the Commemorative Air Force Airbase Museum, where many unique exhibits and aircraft are on display. We end our day with hotel check-in and a delicious dinner and show at the Mining Camp Restaurant. DAY 2 TUESDAY, MARCH 14 GREATER PHOENIX (BD) Today begins with breakfast and a journey to Eloy to watch sky divers fall through the skies and smoothly sail back to earth (subject to availability of sky divers). After the entertaining rush of adrenaline, we take it down a notch with a visit to the Saguaro National Park, home of the nations largest cacti: the saguaro. We’ll take in the spectacular views of the mountains and saguaros from the Red Hills Visitor Center and browse the cultural and natural history exhibits of the Sonoran Desert, after which we travel to Tucson for lunch on our own and time for shopping. This afternoon we head to the Mission San Xavier del Bac, known as the ‘White Dove of the Desert’, for a docent-led tour of this beautiful National Historic Landmark. After learning about the history, architecture and culture of the Mission, we will conclude the day with dinner. DAY 3 WEDNESDAY, MARCH 15 GREATER PHOENIX (B) We head to the Mesa Arts Center today after breakfast at the hotel. With art exhibits, shows, classes and more, this facility is dedicated to expanding the education of contemporary art to everyone. Lunch is on our own in the stadium, meaning peanuts and cracker jacks, a deliciously authentic ballpark hot dog or a meal from the wide selection of local food trucks! After an exciting day at the ballpark, we head back to the hotel for a free evening for shopping and dinner on our own. DAY 4 THURSDAY, MARCH 16 GREATER PHOENIX (BD) Today’s journey puts the focus on music! Our first stop is the Musical Instrument Museum to explore the world’s only museum dedicated to musical instruments from around the globe. We’ll hear, and learn about music from all across the world and see fascinating displays of musical instruments. After lunch on our own, we will experience a leisurely Desert Belle Cruise on Saguaro Lake and visit Usery Park for more beautiful views of the desert. We finish the day with more music, at the Barleens Arizona Opry for dinner and a show.
