This program is designed to teach anyone the
fundamentals of skating.
Classes are offered for Tots thru Adults.
Frequently Asked Questions
How old do I have to be to take classes?
There are no age restrictions. All sessions are available for
Tots thru Adults. Groups are formed on the ice by age &
skating level.
What is the makeup & refund policy?
NO refunds once the session begins. ONLY ONE MISSED
CLASS per session can be made up on a different day
during that session, if space is available. Call or email the
Skating Director for makeup permission.
There will be no make ups allowed on the first Wednesday,
Thursday, Saturday or Sunday of each session.

How many sessions should I enroll for?
The Frequent Skater discount is the ideal package to
efficiently learn skills & improve quickly with additional
public session time. Mastering skills takes more than 1
session! See opposite flap for discount details.
What equipment is needed?
Helmets are required for all skaters ages 5 & under.
Skate rental is included but wearing your own skates is
BEST! Good skates are essential to improve.
Visit the Pro Shop to be fitted for skates.
What else can I do after Learn to Skate?
Jr. Competitive Program: Bridge program from
Learn-to-Skate to competitive figure skating.
Private Lessons: Available at any time to improve
skills or move into figure skating.
Learn-to-Play Hockey: Learn the fundamentals
of the game. Pre-requisite: Must have completed the
skills outlined in Basic 4 or Hockey 4 of the
Learn to Skate Program.

Basic Hockey 1, 2, 3, 4
This program will now be offered as part of our Learn to
Skate program.Learn the fundamentals of Basic Hockey skating. Starts, stops, forward and backward skating, turns and
transitions. (No pucks) This is a requirement for advancing
to Learn to Play Hockey. Completing the elements of these
levels will prepare every beginning hockey skater for his/
her next step in learning to play hockey. Skaters that pass
the elements of Basic Hockey 2 are eligible for Learn to Play
Hockey, however it is highly recommended to continue
Basic Hockey 3 and 4 while enrolled in Learn to Play to
acquire the more advanced skills needed to play hockey.

Only on Saturdays
The fundamentals of synchronized skating 1, 2, 3, and 4
will now be offered as part of our Learn to Skate Program.
Synchronized Skating is the fastest growing aspect of
skating today! This program is designed for skaters that
enjoy a team environment. Skaters will have fun while
learning the value of teamwork, discipline and gaining
confidence. Skaters will be introduced to the five basic
elements: circle, line, block, intersection and wheel.
Girls and boys of all ages above the Basic 4 skill level are
welcome to join this fun class!
Late Registration Fee:
For staffing purposes, all registrations must be made
at least 2 days prior to the start of any session.
If registrations are not received with in the two
day period prior to the start of the session, a late
registration fee of $10.00 will be applied.

Frequent Skater Discount: Best Deal!
Pre-register one skater for 3 or more sessions and receive
20% off the total registration fee + 8 public skate passes.
1 discount per skater only.
Family: 20% off 3rd skater’s registration fee.
Parent-Tot Classes: Available for parents with a skater
age 5 & under only. Parents attend class with their child for
50% off registration + skater’s fee. If a parent would like to
be on the ice with their tot, they must register.
Bring-a-Buddy Days: At the second lesson day in the
session is the Bring-a-Buddy day. Skaters can bring a buddy
to class for free!
Skate Rental: Three skate rental passes are included in the
package. Additional skate rental is $1.00 per session.
Discounts cannot be combined.

Equipment:
IceWorks Pro Shop carries all necessary skates,
clothing & protective gear and expertly sharpens skates.
A 10% discount will be honored for skate purchases
with a Learn to Skate coupon.
Skates: Figure skates are recommended for the
beginner skater since they lace up completely around
the ankle and provide more support.
Dress in layers so you or your child can remove them as
necessary. All skaters must wear gloves.
