Opening Prayer



Introduction of new faces in attendance (officers, committee members, new Grade Reps)
Treasurer Report by Yolanda Caron:
 Passed out current balance sheet showing FSA/MANNA Profit and Loss to date.
 Both FSA and MANNA accounts have a surplus balance at this time.
Committee Reports
 Manna: Roseanne Welenc
 September profits were $1230, down from $2000 this month last year.
 November will be special month: “MANNA Month” with new incentives,
programs, training, etc.
 Hot Lunch: Robin Bourjaily
 Second half of year online ordering will take place in November: likely 5th-19th.
 Look in the School Scoop for details soon.
 Market Day: Lupe McKeehan
 $313 profit this month, and $255 profit last month
 8th Grade selling Pies for Bonus Days right now.
 Pies sales will take place after masses on Oct 18, 19th.
 Leticia Schultz is the new co-chair of Market Day.
 Spirit Wear: Michelle Antonietti
 $350 in sales at Homecoming games; tumblers were popular.
 New designs for t-shirts, sweatshirts, new items on order; coming soon.
 Working on getting new products in stock: car magnets, coffee mugs, cinch
bags. New items expected in time for Catholic Schools week.
 Will have spiritwear for sale during parent conferences in Nov.
 Anyone who wants spiritwear should contact Michelle!
 Dining for Dollars: Robin for Michele Campbell-Schinker
 Café Salsa D4D will be Oct 20-22, all day, flyer required!
 Next month- Aurelios. December: McDonald’s on Dec 9th.

New Business
 Book Fair: Mary Ellen Staelgraeve
 Theme this year is “Score a Good Book”.
 Schedule: Set up on Sunday Nov 23rd, author presentation Sunday afternoon,
book sale Monday Nov 24th from 8-4, sale on Tuesday 25th 8-8, and break down
Tuesday night.
 Author this year: Kate Hennington. Wrote “Cupcake Cousin” (Grades 1-4).
 Sign up Genius will be used again this year to solicit volunteers.
 Grade Reps: Robin Bourjaily
 Great Job with September newsletters! Send email link for Halloween party
volunteers out to classes for upcoming parties.
 Young Rembrandts: Ann Foley
 This program was very popular and successful last year; lots of interest among
students.
 Need volunteer to Chair the program this year- organize registration, attend
classes.
 Secret Santa Service Project: Nikki Gorman
 Community Nurse Health Organization in La Grange needs secret santas to
“adopt” a young person in need and provide Christmas gifts for them.
 This will be an FSA service project we can all do together to help a local
family/child in our community.
 When the “wish list” is received, Nikki will make a sign up genius with the items
needed, and FSA officers and grade reps can sign up to purchase something.
 Gifts will be turned in by November 25th.
 FSA sponsored “Ladies Night”: Robin Bourjaily
 First FSA social event is on November 13th, 7p- Ladies Night at Alixandra
Collections in downtown La Grange. Look for invitations coming home soon.
 Pizza Night/Spiritwear sale: Mary DeGroot
 Mattone’s will help support St Cletus with a pizza pick up night!
 Families can pre-order pizza on a Thurs night in December. Pizzas will all be
delivered to school and families will come pick up at school.
 Spiritwear will be available for sale during the pizza pickup.
 Pasta Dinner: Mary DeGroot
 Planning a pasta dinner event in Morissey Hall for February 11th.
 Due to the anticipated high attendance, we will likely have 2 seatings.
 Utilize jr high volunteers to help out that night.
 Fleetwood Skate/Socials for 6-8th grades: Robin Bourjaily
 Upcoming social for grades 6-8th at Fleetwood Skate on Dec 29th. More details
coming soon.
 Working on setting up other fun options for 4-5th grades: possibly at the MAX
 PreK-Grade 3 will have Winterfest this year on January 9th (replace the
Christmas party).



Old Business
 Grandparent’s Day: Robin Bourjaily
 Overall a big success; lots of positive feedback from grandparents!
 Some things we need to adjust/change for next year to improve the event.
 Consider other ways we can accommodate/entertain such a large group of
guests.
 Teacher Gift Fund Envelopes: Nikki Gorman
 TGF envelopes were sent home in recent Weds envelope. Already good
response!
 Grade Reps please include TGF reminders in ALL newsletters.
