continent of Africa, bordered from the north by the
Mediterranean, from the east by the Red Sea, from
the west by Libya, and from south by Sudan.
Area: The area of the Arab Republic of Egypt is about 1,002,000 square kilometers.
Population: 82 million people, according to the census of 2013.
Capital: Cairo
The most important cities: Cairo, Alexandria, Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor, Aswan.
Currency: Egyptian pound. One USD equals 15.00 Egyptian pounds.

Accommodation: Triple, air-conditioned, fully
equipped hotel rooms, with private bathroom (with
cable TV, mini-bar refrigerator)
Activities to be held in: Natural protectorate in
Ras Muhammad, Sharm El Sheikh beach, Sharm
El Sheikh Islands, Naema Bay, Old Market, Echo
mountains region.

What are we looking forward to?!
1- Enhancing friendship and sorority between Girl Guides to
achieve better cooperation between member organizations
2- Exploring the historical, cultural and environmental nature of
Sharm El Sheikh
3- Practicing outdoor life and experiencing exotic adventures.
4- Enhancing Girl Guides’ self-esteem and encouraging them to
discover their capabilities and talents.
5- Promoting guiding by introducing it as a leading global nonformal educational movement that helps girls and young women
to be effective and responsible global citizens in their local and
international communities.
Camp program:
The Camp program includes a lot of exciting activities
and trips that will satisfy all participants. Detailed
program will be sent to all participating MOs very
soon.
Camp registration fees: 115 USD per participant
including Arab region fees.
Payment: On arrival
In case of cancellation, kindly notify us before 1
January.

Registration fees include:
Accommodation, meals, transportation from and to Sharm
El Sheikh airport, activities and field trips, guiding contests
at Ras Muhammad protectorate, boat trip and snorkeling,
adventure games and Safari.

Notes for the participating delegations:

Each MO should bring 2 national flags of its
country

An International Day will be organized during the
camp, this may include displaying ready-made snacks, local costumes and country music.

All participants should bring a suitable swimming costume (preferably similar to a wetsuit) and
Aqua shoes.

All participants should have travel insurance that
covers the duration of their stay in Egypt prior
arriving to the camp.
-
The Egyptian Girl Guides Association will kindly
will transfer the groups to and from Sharm El
Sheikh airport, for that all the groups should wear
uniforms to easily identify them at the airport.
Neither the Egyptian Girl Guides
Association nor the Arab Region have any
obligation to any insurance claims in
respect of medical treatment, accidents or
personal belongings. Insurance
arrangements are the participant’s own
responsibility.
In the case of an accident or illness, the
Egyptian Girl Guides Association will
transport the patient to a hospital or clinic,
depending on the status of the case,
and all treatment costs shall be borne by
participants.
