I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have
kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous judge, shall
give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them
also that love his appearing, II Timothy 4:7-8.
Alfred George Cook was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on
August 8, 1947 to Luther and Donzell Cook. He was the
fourth born of thirteen children.

Alfred attended Rock Island Elementary School, Fair View
Middle School, and Washington High School in El Dorado,
Arkansas. He accepted Christ at an early age. Alfred left El
Dorado, Arkansas in 1963 and moved to Houston, TX. In
1974 he met Brenda McNeal Cook. He enjoyed playing
dominoes, cards and watching football.
Alfred had eight children; LaQuita, Anthony, Alfred, Kevin,
Brandon, Franchell, DaNatte and Donnell. Thirteen
grandchildren; Bria, Brian, Sarafia, Ashley, Elyse, LaMonica,
DeShawn, Dedrick, Derrick, Trisca, Damone, Chris, and
Shelesia. On May 3, 2014, God decided it was time for
Alfred to join his flock. He allowed him to grace our
presence for 66 wonderful years. He may not be among us
physically but his love and spirit will live forever in our
hearts. Alfred was preceded in death by his father; Luther
Cook, mother; Donzell Cook, son; Brandon Cook, and
brothers; Leon Cook, Luther Cook Jr., Rogers Fields, sisters;
Louise Cook and Margaret Ann Cook.
He leaves to cherich precious memories, his loving wife;
Brenda McNeal Cook; his loving children; LaQuita,
Anthony (Sonya), Alfred, Kevin, Franchell, DaNatte and
Donnell, his loving sisters; Lavon Lumsey (Curtis), Lynette
Cooper (Wesley), Lynell Jones (Al) all from El Dorado,
Arkansas, and Donna Renee Cook from Little Rock
Arkansas, his caring brothers; Robert Charles Cook (Faye)
and Harold Cook both from El Dorado, Arkansas, Roy Fields
(Shirley) from Laughlin Neveda, Thirteen grandchildren;
Bria, Brian, Sarafia, Ashley, Elyse, LaMonica,
DeShawn, Dedrick, Derrick, Trisca, Damone, Chris, and
Shelesia, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
