Welcome to the two St James. If this is your first visit to St James or if you’ve recently joined
us, please fill in a Welcome card or simply talk to one of our host team (with lilac badges) so we
can invite you to our next Newcomers Coffee in the Rectory. If you are new to the Children's or
Youth Ministry we have LOTS going on that you might like to know about! Ask someone on
the team/take an info card or look at saintjames.org.uk/family/children/ or saintjames.org.uk/family/youth/ (click on icons to move around the website for more details)
The Youth Team Needs You!
Are you looking for a rewarding and exciting way to serve at St James? A place where you can
see faith grow and where you will learn and be inspired in your own faith journey?
Well then joining the Youth Team is the place for you!
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed people who want to engage with our young
people. All you’ll need is a desire to share your faith, knowledge and experiences. All ages are
welcome – so don’t think this is just for those under 30! Help is needed for all areas of the
youth ministry – The Boat – ages 11-14 (both 10.45am & 4pm services), Resonate – ages 14-18
(7pm Sundays), and The Link – ages 11-14, a youth club held once a month on a Friday night.
Come along and for a week or two and see what you think!
The team are also looking for two people to go to Soul Survivor and cook for the group. The
group are going to Week C which is 25th – 30th August. All equipment and menus are provided
and your event ticket is paid for.
Contact Tim, Kat, Marcela or TK in the youth office to let them know if you’re interested in
any of the above or to find out more! 01753 278963.

We are excited to see what God will do in our
community, our workplaces, among our
friends and family as we all do these small
acts each day.
At St James, let us encourage one another and
share how God has blessed us and others as
we do these small acts of kindness. If you
would like to share your own 40acts stories,
please email [email protected] and
she will send an email out to the 40acts@St
James community once or twice a week. All
stories will be anonymous and for God’s glory.
The Upper
Room
The Upper Room Community Prayer Room
relaunched last week with a brand new theme
for Lent. The room has been designed and
created by a team from 4 local churches,
working together to encourage us to revisit and rediscover the amazing resource of the
Upper Room. The room will guide you
through a reflection on Jesus' baptism, temptation and ministry. Perfect for Lent. Please
use the link on the webpage below to sign up
for an hour or more:
