Procedure:
Pre-listening
• Divide the board into three parts.
• Warm up students by asking them what comes to their minds when they hear the word sugar. Write
their ideas on the first part of the board.
• Before watching the video or listening to the song, set its mood by asking students what the word sugar
has to do with love. Write their ideas on the second part of the board.
• Listen to the song without the images and ask students to pay attention to the lyrics to confirm if the
ideas on the board appear in the song.
• Write what they can identify in the song on the third part of the board.
• Then, watch the video with the song (if possible) and check on the lyrics.
• Hand out the copies of the worksheets.
• Check if students understand what they have to do.
• Ask students to do the exercises and help them if necessary.
• Correct the exercises on the board.
Wrap up activity
• Students sing along with the video.
