Please call TROY Technical Support for more information about related enhancements. 8) Relocate any program or data files. Page 1 of 5 Section 2: What will the ChequeScribe 32 upgrade do? The upgrade process confirms these paths with the user during installation by checking for the presence of the global.mdb file in the given folder and for the presence of the old application executable in its given folder. 2) Performs a backup of all existing program and data files to subfolders called backup_prior_n, where n is the original version number. 3) Removes all ChequeScribe named files from the application folder. The name ChequeScribe will be replaced with TROY Checkwriting Software. 4) Copies and unconditionally overwrites all program files from the install set’s \Program subfolder. 5) Copies and overwrites all data files by date comparison from the install set’s \Data subfolder. 6) Re-registers any new importx.ocx files in the application folder. 7) Re-registers any new CRAXDRT.dll files in the application folder. 8) Performs silent database upgrades to the local.mdb, global.mdb, and archive.mdb as necessary by comparing version information in the Version tables of each database. 9) Records all database change events in the DBU.LOG file, located in the application’s data folder. 10) Replaces all Crystal Reports of same name in the application’s global.mdb database file. 11) Removes all desktop and program group shortcuts named ChequeScribe 32 and re-creates new shortcuts with the product name TROY Checkwriting Software.
