WearearenewableenergycompanythathasbeenactiveintheUKforalmost10yearsin
thedevelopment,fundingandmanagementofrenewableenergyprojects.Historically,muchofthis
activityhasbeenfocusedonwell-establishedtechnologiessuchasSolarPV,butmorerecentlywe
havebeenlookingatnewer,emergingtechnologies.Withinthelastyearwehavebeenworking
withthe[Australian]ownersofanewtechnologywithaviewtoestablishinganinitialpilotplantin
theUKtoconvertwasteXintoXThetechnologyinquestionisbasedonX.
TheAustraliantechnologyownershavebuiltacoupleofpilotplants,buttherehasnotyetbeenany
commercialdeploymentofthetechnology.Theyareindiscussionswithsomeinterested3rdparties
aboutpossiblecommercialdeployments,althoughthesewouldbeforverydifferentwastestreams
thanours.Ourprojectfortheapplicationoftheirtechnology“platform”toawasteXstreamwould
bethefirstofitskindintheworld,eitherasapilotplantorcommercialroll-out.Wehaveidentified
aninitialtargetwastestreamintheUKandhavebeenworkingwiththeAustralianteamtodevelop
aclearbusinessplan.Thecapitalcostsrequiredforaninitialplantareexpectedtobeintheregion
