ATTESTMENT to SWIMMING ABILITIES
Purpose: All rowers must be able to swim, tread water or float in the unlikely event that he or she ends up in
the water. This ensures that a rower will be comfortable in water situations until retrieved by a coaching
launch. Rowers can meet this requirement by one of the following:
A. A rower can attest his or her swimming ability by signing the statement below.
B. Rowers can demonstrate their ability to swim by taking the Float Test as per Float Test Form.
NOTE:


An attest statement to rowers’ swimming capabilities is specific to the Kitsap Rowing
Association only and is not transferable between clubs.
The Float Test can be transferable between rowing clubs.
