Connection for the week of December 7, 2014 IN THIS ISSUE BLANK PAGE During the holiday season families with limited means stretch every dollar, even counting pennies, to provide food and shelter for their children. They look to cut any costs that they can. More and more often families try to stretch their dollars by leaving their babies in a dirty diaper longer leading to severe diaper rash and other medical conditions. Diapers and wipes are such a necessity for the health and well-being of a baby. No baby should have to sit in a dirty diaper all day. That’s why the Texas Diaper Bank is here, to help keep babies healthy. This holiday season, join us as we “count our pennies” and collect 1 million pennies by December 19th to help keep babies healthy! Why pennies? It’s very simple; a little bit can go a long way! 10 pennies = 1 diaper 100 pennies = 1 package of wipes 250 pennies = 1 weeks’ worth of diapers 1,000 pennies = 1 bottle of specialized baby formula 10,000 pennies = Provides a baby with diapers, wipes, and formula for a month Imagine what 1,000,000 pennies can do! Together we can “change” thousands of babies’ lives, one penny at a time. For more information on how you can participate contact us at [email protected] or 210-731-8118 ext. 303. 16\December 7, 2014 Special Events 1 From the Office 2 Mission & Ministry 3-7 Calendar of Events 8 Calendar of Events 9 WUMC Day School 10 Christmas 11 Sunday School Classes 12 Health & Education Ministry 13 Bible Study Groups 14 From the Church Office Love Offering By the Numbers Christian Greetings, It is hard to believe that we are already into the holiday season.
