officer of Columbia College Chicago. He is the tenth president in
the 125-year history of the college. Appointed by a unanimous

-‐-‐Each member of e-‐board broke down the one of the goals a little bit more for the president and the rest of senate, and gave a little more insight into each goal. We also shared a little more on how we intend to fulfill those goals. -‐-‐ MAP Grant – the MAP money was approved, even though we haven’t had the adjusted budget for the state yet. Although the money has been approved, it hasn’t been dispursed yet. The concern is that the longer it takes the state to get a formal budget, the less funding might be available to actually grant the monies to students. Very supportive of SGA going to Lobby Day in Springfield, IL in the Spring. -‐-‐ Outreach -‐-‐ Cautions us to be careful. “Going out from where you are. One direction.” Always ask “what’s underneath?” It can start translating to “I’m better than ____.” Expanding diversity. We all need each other the same. As SGA, we might be able to become a leading voice in helping the college understand the level of community and equals sharing an experience throughout the campus. -‐-‐ Encouraging us to let him know if he can help us getting the student voice to be louder/how we can amplify messages for the college as a whole coming from each other. -‐-‐ Budgeting process at the college – some representatives from across the board (including SGA) to make the budget more transparent and help students understand the flow of the budget. -‐-‐ Continuing to keep the tuition below the national average of other private institutions. Look at the various pieces that make up college affordability. -‐-‐ Accessability – seeing Dr. Kim on campus, seeing SGA more on campus…at events. We need to schedule them pretty early in advance. -‐-‐ Possibly scheduling Pizza with the President/events with him at key points in the semester like midterms or finals… -‐-‐ Student office hours were last week on Friday. Next up is October 9th. Facebook/cccstudentloop. Openings available for November/December. -‐-‐ Cetera suggested testimonial videos for Semester in LA, more marketing in general for it. -‐-‐ Transfer students are up 13% since last Fall! -‐-‐ Looking at the schedule to be more friendly for non-‐traditional students III.
