2016 IMUA BEACH CAMP – SUMMER SEASON
This upcoming summer IMUA Beach Club will be slightly different then what we offered in the
past. Our IMUA Beach Camp season will start on Monday, June 20 and will run 6 weeks through
Thursday, July 28, 2016.
Our IMUA Beach Club will not require any tryouts. It is highly recommended that you already
have a dedicated partner prior to registration. It is not mandatory to have a partner but the chances of
being assigned a partner for the first day of practice is not guaranteed.
The IMUA Beach Club tuition is $600 and $700 for the summer season. A discounted rate will be
granted for all current 2015-16 indoor Imua athletes at $600 and the fee for non-current indoor IMUA
athletes is $700. Fees will include practice training days, (1) Imua t-shirt, and (1) registration for the
2016 Monterey Beach Open in Monterey on July 30-31, 2016.
Coach(s) will NO longer be provided at tournaments? Your Imua Beach Club tuition will ONLY
cover coaching and training at all scheduled IMUA beach practices. In previous seasons all of our IMUA
coaches would volunteer to help coach every scheduled Imua beach tournament. Moving forward…our
IMUA coaches will ONLY be responsible to coach our IMUA Beach Elite teams during tournaments.
VERY IMPORTANT! It is now the athlete’s RESPONSIBILITY to register themselves at all local
Santa Cruz Junior Beach tournaments. This should be done ASAP! Go to these websites to register
your daughter’s team at www.cbva.com and www.ncva.com. Due to the exponential growth of the
junior beach volleyball circuit it has become almost impossible to register all of our IMUA Beach Club
teams at all Santa Cruz CBVA tournaments as what we’ve done in the past. Our Imua Beach Club starts
the end of June which poses a major problem with advance team registrations. Most of CBVA and NCVA
tournaments are receiving preregistrations as early as April and filling up by May. IMPORTANT: It is the
team’s responsibility to REGISTER NOW as quickly as possible to secure your spot at any of the Santa
Cruz NCVA and CBVA junior tournaments. You can easily cancel you CBVA registration if it’s more
than 24 hours in advance.

IMUA BEACH ELITE TEAM:
Our IMUA Beach Elite Club will
showcase the best of the best sand
athletes to represent Team IMUA in all
of the top junior beach tournaments in
California. This program is not for your
average sand athlete, it is designed
specifically
for the committed,
motivated, sand athlete who desires to
pursue a collegiate sand career. Our
IMUA Beach Elite teams are going to be
our primary focus at every competition
and will have a coach at every
competition.
In order to be considered for the Elite
team, it is recommended, but not
mandatory that the athlete has won a
respected junior beach tournament the
previous beach season. However, we
will ONLY select teams based upon
what our IMUA coaches feel who will
best represent Team IMUA. We are
aiming to select (4) teams or up to (8)
teams total in ages from 14u to 18u.
There are No beach clubs in the
surrounding area that combines the
experience and knowledge of beach
volleyball than Imua Beach Club.
Our coaches are current beach
athletes, beach coaches, and have
more combined experience than any
other beach club. Don't be fooled by
a weekend beach coach certification
with NO athletic beach experience
and advance competition.
You get the best of the best in all
aspects for beach volleyball both
training and tournament play!
The IMUA Beach Elite Club tuition is
$1,000 and $1,200 for the summer
season. Current 2016 indoor IMUA
athletes will pay a discounted rate of
$1,000 and the fee for non-current
indoor IMUA athletes is $1,200. Fees
will include all scheduled practice
training days starting in April through
July 29, 2016. Your tuition will also
include a beach ball, a IMUA Sand
uniforms and paid entry fees for (3) Ideal Beach Volleyball Attire:
highly ranked California Junior Beach ATHLETES SHOULD WEAR PROPER BEACH
TRAINING GEAR. BRING WATER AND/OR
tournaments.
SPORTS BEVERAGE AND EXTRA SUN BLOCK.
IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO PURCHASE
SAND SOCKS FOR EXTRA PROTECTION.
