Crops
The people in the
thirteen colonies
grew corn,
grains ,tobacco ,
beans ,clover and
peas. Wheat and
corn were the main
crops they grew. In
the middle they
were called the
bread basket because of their rich
soil. The southern
colonies grew Indigo.

New England
Most of the New England is rocky and mountainous. There is a lot of
hills and trees in New
England. Maine, Vermont,
New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and
Rhode Island are all colonies in New England Colony. New England has a
lot of snow so if you like
snow you might want to
come here.
Middle
Colonies
New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New
Jersey are the Middle colonies. William Penn started
the colony that is known as
Pennsylvania. The middle
colonies have many deep
rivers and ports. They have
rich soil and are called the
bread basket colonies.
Southern
Colonies
The climate is sort of
warm in the Southern
colonies. Maryland,
Georgia and the Carolinas are the southern colonies. In Georgia the colonists grow Indigo. Virginia was the first of the
13 English colonies in
1607.
