Both hadrons and leptons are the
fundamental particles that constitute all
matter. Leptons, of which electrons and
neutrinos are the most important
constituents, are fundamental particles that
are not made up of smaller particles.
Leptons participate in the electromagnetic,
weak, and gravitational interactions, but not
the strong interaction. By contrast, hadrons
are made up of different combinations of
quarks, and hadrons participate in all four
fundamental interactions.
