Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel and Spa are delighted to have created history within the Mid Western area by
being the very first hotel to host a civil ceremony. As a result we have developed a working relationship with the
Civil Registration Office and are considered a leading Civil Ceremony venue. We offer two suites for civil ceremonies
including The Treaty Suite which can cater for more intimate ceremonies and The Fitzgerald Suite which caters for
larger ceremonies. Both suites have also hosted blessings, humanist, spiritual and other ceremonies.

booking deposit, 20 rooms will be held exclusively for your guests. Please note that there are only 10 standard rooms
available. All rooms held under the wedding block are sold on a first come first served basis. A limited number of
standard family rooms are available. For greater choice, please encourage all guests to reserve their rooms as early as possible.
We strongly recommend that all couples encourage their guests to book directly with our hotel so that every guest
receives confirmation of their reservation directly and so that they can also guarantee their own rooms by credit card or
with a deposit. Any rooms booked by the wedding couple will automatically be charged to the main wedding bill when
guests cancel late or fail to register for their rooms on their arrival date. All rooms not reserved from the initial wedding
block will be automatically released 28 days in advance of your wedding reception.

reception at the Woodlands.OMG is
all I can say.There probably are no
words I can use to really sum up how
the day was… From the minute our
guests arrived until well into the early
hours of the following morning each
and everyone of us felt like royalty

and all our guests couldn’t get over
how the wedding meal seemed to be
endless as they were offered 2nd and

fabulous back drop for our photos. And
that Christmas tree! And the piano!

Whilst every effort is made to maintain our price structure, the 2017/2018
pricing stated is subject to change. The issue of a new brochure is considered as
one form of notice of this change. Therefore, it is your responsibility to provide
us with written notice of changes in addresses if different from the addresses
furnished by the Wedding couple on the wedding booking form at the time
of booking. We also reserve the right to change pricing in line with changes in
VAT, other government related taxes or fluctations in pricing from our suppliers.

Provisional dates will only be held for 14 days from the initial date of enquiry.

At the time of booking, a deposit of €2000.00 is required, which can be payable
in two instalments over a three month period. At this time, bridal couples must
also sign a wedding booking form thus confirming the date of their wedding
celebration and their acceptance of the hotel’s terms and conditions.

Cancellations will only be accepted in writing from both parties.

Deposits will only be refunded, if the date is rebooked by another wedding couple with a similar expected number of guests.

Should you wish to postpone your wedding, your deposit can only be transferred when your original date is booked by a wedding couple with a similar expected number of guests.

Payment of deposit and final account can only be accepted in cash or bank draft.
Final Account must be settled on departure.

The wedding details i.e. menus, package options etc. must be finalised at least
eight weeks in advance of your wedding day. Please call David or Elaina to
arrange an appointment.
26 The hotel reserves the right to host and cater for other guests on the day of
your wedding. Should you wish to have our hotel exclusive to your guests,
an arrangement fee must be prepaid one month after your initial booking is
confirmed with a deposit.
27 The hotel reserves the right to refund a deposit in circumstances when a booking
is made through a third party or under false pretences. All couples are required
to make an appointment to meet with a wedding coordinator in advance of
acceptance of a deposit.
28 The hotel also reserves the right to cancel an event where
a The hotel or any part is closed due to fire, dispute with employees, alteration
and decoration.

29 Management reserves the right to use images from your wedding celebrations as
part of our promotional material offline and online.
30 The Hotel will not accept responsibility for any entertainment or other wedding
service providers that has not been reserved directly with the hotel. However
it is essential that all wedding service providers have the approval of the hotel
management prior to the date of your reception. All wedding service providers
must provide their own equipment and have full public liability/professional
indemnity insurance and accept full responsibility for their own actions,
equipment and instruments. Where this is not the case, the liability rests with
the wedding couple.
9 A revised number of guests must be furnished to your wedding coordinator
14 days before your wedding day.
31 We cannot give permission for Chinese or sky lanterns to be launched from our
hotel grounds.
10 Final numbers must be furnished to the hotel 48 hours before your wedding day. This is the m
­ inimum number of guests that will be charged for.
32 Please contact the hotel in writing if you are scheduling fireworks for your
wedding as a code of practice applies.
11 Table Plans must be provided to the hotel electronically at least 7 days in advance
of your wedding day. Table Plans should be ready for presentation to guests.
Please check that your IT infrastructure is compatible with our IT infrastructure
at the hotel. Where we are requested to type or print the plan on the couple’s
behalf, we cannot take responsibility for errors or omissions.
33 We regret that we cannot allow medication as part of toilet baskets. Flip flops are
also not allowed due to insurance recommendations.
12 Minimum numbers may apply to certain dates. Please ask your wedding
coordinator if this is applicable to your preferred wedding date.
35 The hotel will not be liable for any failure or delay in providing facilities or
services, food and beverages, as a result of events outside of its control.
13 You must advise your wedding coordinator if your wedding is a black tie event.
36 Regrettably, we cannot allow hired dance floors. Inevitably, the sizes available are
not the same as ours which results in a unsafe edge to the dance floor. In addition,
the dance floor suggested is more often than not too small for the number of
guests at your wedding.
14 A bar exemption is required if you wish to have a late disco. This must be booked
through the hotel three months in advance of your wedding date at an additional
cost of €500.00.
15 Our entertainment and wedding services lists are for information purposes only.
This also includes details listed on our website. They do not form any part of the
contract between the hotel and the wedding party.
16 All music must finish at 2am sharp.
17 No food or beverages can be brought on to the premises by any member of the
wedding party with the exception of the wedding cake which must be supplied
by a HACCP approved supplier.
18 The hotel’s team are not responsible for cards or gifts.
19 The wedding cake and any other personal items stored and displayed at your
wedding are not the responsibility of the hotel or its staff. Please ensure that
arrangements are made to collect the same as we are not responsible in the event
that these items are found to be missing or damaged.
34 The use of sparklers, crystals etc and other items that may impact on the health
and safety of guests or staff or the property of guests or staff or the hotel is prohibited.
37 If you need to use our piano as part of your arrival reception in the lobby, you
need to inform us in writing in advance of your big day.
38 When we are asked to assist with audio visual presentations, please note that we
are not engineers and cannot be responsible for any glitches that can occur as part
of the performance. Therefore, we always suggest that you engage with engineers
or qualified experts to ensure the best quality performance for your day from an
audio visual perspective.
39 As a standard we offer 5 course meal. Additional courses or choices within
courses will incur charges.
40 5.30pm is our recommended seating time. This means that the bell will need to
be rang at 5pm. To ensure that you get the most out of your day, we recommend
a 1pm time for weddings not hosted in the hotel.
41 Wedding Menu Tastings can only be booked Monday to Friday and must be
reserved a minimum of three days in advance.
20 The hotel is not liable for any loss or damage to property owned by or in the
custody of the bridal party or wedding guests.
42 Accommodation rates are only applicable until 31st December 2018.
Supplier surges or increase in VAT may alter prices.
21 The hotel provides a comprehensive range of wedding services. We reserve the
right to refuse external contractors or bridal parties wishing to provide such
same services.
43 Should the hotel, for reasons beyond its control, need to make any amendments
to your booking, we reserve the right to offer an alternative choice of facilities.
22 If the couple or bridal party wish to supply their own table decor, set up fees
may apply.
23 Gratuities are at patrons’ discretion. We do not apply a service charge.
24 Bridal couples may be held responsible for any damage to person or property
by their wedding guests.
25 Every day we make improvements to our facilities and services. We reserve the
right to modify any aspect of our hotel in advance of or during your big day.
44 Children under the age of 15 years must be at all times accompanied by
a parent/guardian. The hotel cannot be responsible for any injury or accident
arising to unsupervised children. All children must leave the public areas by 9pm,
extended to 10pm May – September. Non-resident children must be off the
premises of the hotel by 10pm. This is the legal requirement. Children, who are
residents of the hotel and attending a function can remain in the hotel but must
stay in the function room under the supervision of their parents/guardians.
45 Guestrooms booked by the couple that have not been settled on departure are
assumed to be chargeable to the main wedding account and this also is the
same in the case of a no show.
