Allegro Classical Music and Arts Festival
ALLEGRO 2017
“Bringing Classy Bach!”
Allegro Classical Music and Arts Festival is the only festival in Southern California dedicated to world
classical music. Allegro 2017 is a 1-day festival on April 23, 2017 that will showcase western and
eastern classical music (Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Persian) and dance performances across two
stages. The Festival is to be held at the iconic Del Mar racetrack, originally opened 80 years ago this
year by Bing Crosby and Gary Cooper. Allegro will have stages at both the Paddock and the Turf Club
facilities, in order to utilize the naturally inviting and historic setting to create a family-friendly
experience that will provide attendees with memories they will never forget.
Allegro is product of a famous hip-hop musician asking me, “Who is Bach”? Allegro is the result of the
perceived need to keep Classical music alive for the future generations since the world is headed in a
direction of boxed music and Mad Max movie style noisy cacophony of instruments playing together
without any structure. Allegro is the bridge to the timelessness of Classical Music and Dance.
Allegro goes beyond concert style performances and encourages everyoneʼs music ability by creating
a music mash up under the direction of Grammy Award nominated educator and music conductor Ulli
Reiner aptly calling it the Baroque Bash! There will be “Nook presentations” of up and coming
performers. A display of Dance and Art and “Steam-punk DJ” which will round up the cultural treat that
Allegro 2017 offers. Allegro will provide “Tools of Engagement” to music for people wanting to get into
the classical music arena.
The mission of Allegro Classical Music and Arts Festival is to keep Classical Music and Arts alive in
an affordable family friendly Environment. Kids under 17Yrs of age enter free with adults so this spurs
classical musicians and artists of the future. People can enjoy a cultural treat as they “mozi” alongside
artists and their art and lamenting musicians while sipping on wine and having great food under the
San Diego sun! While staying true to our motto “Bringing Classy Bach!”
